After a valiant battle with AML, Michael Klinock, 67, passed away on July 7, 2024, atthe University of Kansas Medical Center. Mike dedicated his life to his family. Heenjoyed nothing more than helping those he loved with everything from assemblingBarbie’s Dream House to plumbing a sink. He leaves a legacy of love and a Mike sizehole in the everyone’s to do list. Mike spent most of his professional career as CFO ofComet Industries. At Comet he found more than employment, he found a family.
Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna, his daughters Molly Hermreck(Andrew), Allison Miller (Jake), his grandchildren, Evelyn, Lucy, Owen, June, hismother, Doris and brother, Donald.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shune and the KU BMT team for their tirelessdedication to Mike’s care. Mike and his family feel blessed to have had the team’ssupport throughout this journey.
Mike will be remembered in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requestdonations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, the Alzheimer’sAssociation or the KU Endowment.
