Steve Braun 1955-2014
Stephen Braun, 58, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 after a 6 month battle with cancer.
Steve was born July 12, 1955 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, the son of Walter and Elizabeth (Vestal) Braun. He attended Lawrence High School and Ottawa University.
He was employed as a Case Manager/Juvenile Intensive Supervision Probation Officer with Shawnee County Community Corrections for over 15 years. He was an avid fan of Kansas University sports.
Steve married Meg Grimaldi on December 25, 1988. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Ryan of Lawrence, Aaron, Regan, Lindsay, Levi, Anna, Ginny, all of Topeka; brothers, Bernard (Marlies) Braun, Piesport, Germany, John (Jeanne) Braun, Colorado Springs, CO, Walter (Maggie) Braun, Manhattan, twin brother, Mark (Meg) Braun, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Topeka Bible Church, 1101 SW Mulvane. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road.
