Topeka — Memorial services for John Grant Snyder, 40, Topeka, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Topeka.
Mr. Snyder died Monday, March 6, 1995, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Lawrence, the son of Grant and Lois Ferguson Snyder. He was a graduate of Kansas University and received a master's degree in library science from the University of Illinois. He was a librarian for the Topeka Public Library for nine years and recently worked for Luce Press Clipping Service.
He was a member of the Chapel of St. John the Divine in Champaign, Ill. He attended the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Topeka. He sang in the choir at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence and played in the Collegium Musicum and the marching band at KU. He was a member of the Lawrence Barn Dance Assn., the Lawrence Shape Note Musicians, the Missouri Free Trappers and the Friends of Fort Osage in Sibley, Mo.
He married Janet L. Ross on Sept. 27, 1986, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Andres Velasco, Lawrence, and Marc Velasco, of the home; his mother, Lois Snyder, Lawrence; and a brother, Bill Snyder, Hershey, Pa.
