Services for Delma Vence Austin, 38, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rumsey Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Miss Austin died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after an apparent heart attack.
She was born April 20, 1954, in Bartlesville, Okla., the daughter of Lawrence A. Austin Sr. and Ethel F. Smith Austin. She grew up in Bartlesville and Lawrence, and graduated from Lawrence High School. She worked in Lawrence at Packer Plastics, Bendix King, Davol and Kinedyne.
She was a member of the Overcoming Church of God in Christ, Lawrence.
Survivors include a daughter, Nicole D. Garrett, Lawrence; her father, Lawrence A. Austin Sr., Lawrence; five brothers, James David Austin, Lawrence A. Austin Jr. and Markum B. Austin, all of Lawrence, Timothy Cedric Austin, Alamo, Tenn., and Kimbro V. Austin, Houston; five sisters, Dimeta Austin Webb and Verna M. Woods, both of Lawrence, Judy Johnson, Portland, Ore., and Margaret George and Katrina K. Sales, both of Bartlesville; and a grandson.
The family suggests memorials to the Overcoming Church of God in Christ, in care of the funeral home.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive frinds from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
