William D. Worden, 59, of Winchester, KS. died Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 31, 1955 the son of Albert and Ella Mae Dunn Worden.
He was a 1973 graduate of Lawrence High School. He served in the US Army from 1979 to 1988.
He worked as a security guard in Springfield, MO., for a railroad company. Survivors include his mother Ella Mae Holding, Winchester, KS. Two daughters, Sondra J. Worden, Lawrence, KS., and Chelse Worden, Lebanon, MO., two brothers, Leonard E. Newman, II., Oskaloosa, KS., and John Worden, Tonganoxie, KS, Three sisters, Sandra Morris, Perry, KS., Bonnie Schneider, Winchester, and Neola Bowdler, Winchester, KS., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in Oct 1994, one brother, Steven Newman, and a sister Sherry Mills.
Cremation is planned; inurnment will be at a later date at the Leavenworth VA cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.
