Robert M. Austin, Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2015, just as he wanted.
A native of Lawrence, Robert was a giant amongst men. Smiling, cracking jokes, helping a stranger with a flat tire, Robert was a spiritual being who believed in paying it forward.
He will be celebrated by all who knew him; his three sons Antwon Smith, Bahij Austin and Adrian Austin; three granddaughters, one grandson; four sisters and four brothers; a host of nieces and nephews; and a myriad of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date determined by his children. Dance, smile, laugh, and love; all things he would tell us to do in place of crying
